Neighborhood Revitalization


DASH is committed to finding ways to bring sustainable changes to our community. This is why we are thrilled to share some of our current projects with the community. DASH is focused on building more efficiently with the homeowner in mind, creating ways to collaborate with different groups and continuing to provide affordable homes for the community.

New Developments:

DASH Offices
Located in the Hillside Neighborhood on Brownwood Avenue, DASH is nearing the completion of their new office renovation. The new office, located in a historic 1925 home, will be completely remodeled and updated creating a highly energy efficient space. This investment in the Hillside neighborhood is testament to the continued work and commitment of DASH as they work toward Dependable, Affordable, Sustainable, Housing.

New Construction CHIP Houses
DASH is excited to be administering a CHIP grant to build 3 new homes in Historic Hillside. The new home construction will be completed this year. These homes will be sold to individuals at 80% AMI or less. These new homes will feature 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with an open floor plan kitchen and living room.


The Gables
Located in the Hillside Neighborhood on Jefferson Street, this development includes eight new townhome flats, which are currently available for leasing.


Examples of Completed Projects:

Alexander Village Apartments
DASH has completed its ninth affordable housing development.  Alexander Village Apartments, located in St. Florian, Alabama, offers 48 new 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for seniors. The development is EarthCraft Certified, meeting strict guidelines for energy efficiency.
